It is with sadness we have to announce that the Behn Quartet has had to cancel their concert on Sunday due to a family bereavement. We will try to reschedule their exciting programme in our next season.
At short notice, we are very fortunate in being able to call once again on the Consone String Quartet who were very enthusiastically received on their previous visit in 2019. They continue to make a name for themselves with their period instrument interpretations of the Classical and Romantic repertoire. Sir Roger Norrington has commented that they play with ‘such intelligence and imagination that [he] would happily listen to them every day’.
The quartet has also had great success at London’s major venues, as well as further afield in Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Bulgaria and Slovenia. They are in demand for festivals in Edinburgh, Cheltenham, Dartington, Two Moors, Buxton, the MA Festival in Bruges, Heidelberger Streichquartettfest and Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany.
